The Series is first and foremost about fun, with no prizes, no points, and no drama. Participants are all connected via the Discord communications app, allowing everyone to chat, get to know one another, and hopefully, share a laugh.
We call it the Slacker Series because we’ve designed it to minimize the value of putting in hours of practice in advance of a race weekend. We’ve done this by:
- holding back the details of the car to be raced until the day before the race–participants will know the track in advance, but not the car
- no points, no prizes, nothing on the line
- fixed set-ups — everyone uses the same car set-up; no tweaking vehicle set-up for hours
- short races, minimizing the time spent driving solo if you have too many off-track excursions
- All that said, we do expect respectful driving from all competitors. Everyone makes mistakes, but those exceeding the limits of fair play and honest mistakes will be shown the “black and white flag“. 😉
