AC Add-Ons

Below are details on apps and add-ons that we think will greatly enhance your enjoyment of Assetto Corsa on our servers or anywhere else online. We’ve also included some details on our servers for your reference, including download links to the tracks and car mods we run.

Add-Ons & Apps You Should Have No Matter What!

There are few add-ons and programs that we feel are critical to the quality of the simracing experience, for you and your competitors

Content Manager

It’s billed as an alternate launcher for Assetto Corsa, but it’s so much more. The ability to install and manage mods, save presets for everything, favourite the servers you use most, and access all manner of hidden settings. The free version will do most of the critical things, but given all the work that the creator has done for the community, the pay-what-you-can model for the free version compels one to provide some manner of support. Don’t be a free-rider. You read about it and download it here. Remember to add our server to your favs. Here’s Chris Haye talking a bit about this app.

Helicorsa

This little Assetto Corsa app puts a small radar like display on your screen so that you can see cars in close proximity. It’s extremely useful to those with single screens or tight fields of view as those conditions tend to reduce your ability to see what’s beside you. You can download and read all about on RaceDepartment.com. It’s free and very easy to configure.

CrewChief

This one is a stand-alone app that can be used with a lot of different racing sims. You fire it up before launching the sim and you’ll be supported throughout your race by a spotter and a race engineer. The spotter is a great complement to Helicorsa and the engineer is great for letting you know what’s happening elsewhere in the race, how your pace is compared to the competition, and the condition of your car. You can find CrewChief at thecrewchief.org. The vid below shows the app in action and walks you through the set-up process.

Sol

We’ve talked about the greatness of Sol before and it keeps getting better. As of this writing, its on version 1.1. Available at RaceDepartment.com. While this one is certainly a nice-to-have, it opens up a whole new world, including races where the time of day and the weather conditions can change and evolve, all of which we hope to implement on our servers. Don’t miss out, go install it. Follow the installation guide and you’ll be fine.

Conclusion

We’re incredibly fortunate to have so many resources for Assetto Corsa so please show your appreciation by supporting the great people who build and maintain these hugely valuable applications and add-ons.
